For many years the Booster Club works to find ways to give back to the school. The Club is made up of parents and other individuals throughout the community that may have ties to the school or just want to be involved in planning events for our students.

“The Booster Club’s primary responsibilities are to support ACHS students and help promote school spirit. We raise money through dues and fundraisers that allow us to support groups like Student Council, Journalism, and athletic teams,” Booster Club President Amy Macy said.
The Club is in charge of fundraising and setting up for different sports events and other extracurricular activities.

“We sponsor one meal per semester as a fundraiser. In the fall we sold hamburgers at a football game and we had Chick Fil A during the winter at basketball. We sell Andover Central Merchandise, provide a meal for the teachers and staff during Parent/Teacher Conferences and host a hospitality room during the Freshman volleyball tournament held at ACHS. The Booster Club also puts together goody bags for state qualifiers,” Macy said.

Those involved mainly focus on furthering the sports and extracurricular activities throughout the school. They attend meetings and communicate with the school and different teams to meet the needs of the players and students financially and raise school spirit.

“We meet on the second Wednesday of every month during the school year at 7:00 in the Commons area. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting. During the meeting we talk about events and activities that we have planned or would like to plan and we review funding requests from activity sponsors and coaches,” Macy said.

The Booster Club raises money other ways as well like selling Andover Central apparel and other items at football and basketball games.
