The Varsity Scholars Bowl team celebrate the league victory.

After competing well in previous tournaments, the varsity scholars bowl team won the AVCTL league title in Ark City last Wednesday night.
Four of the six members of the varsity team are seniors, who competed at their last league tournament Wednesday.
“It was really exciting to win the league, and it feels more special since it was my last season with this team,” senior Connor Kelly said.
Additionally, the junior varsity team placed second at their league tournament, losing in the last round to Andover.
“It was disappointing to lose to Andover, but I’m proud of the team. I think we did great this season,” senior Liz Snyder said.
After such a successful tournament, the team will work to build off of that success February 6 at the regional tournament. Depending on the regional outcome, they may compete a week later on February 15 at the state tournament as well.
