The Jaguar football team continued their season with a home game against the Ark City Bulldogs. It was a rainy game making it a ground and pound play style. The run game was dominant with Junior Maddox Archibald leading the way with over 140 yards and two touchdowns. Jace Adler was on fire on both sides of the ball Friday. He had two forced turnovers and two touchdowns.
The first quarter started and the Jags got off to a hot start with the Jags driving down the field and Archibald punching it in for a 1 yard rushing touchdown. The Jaguars put up a quick 7-0 and did not give up the lead for the rest of the game. The second and third quarter were a defensive battle with no one scoring. The fourth quarter was under way and the Jags still held the 7-0 lead. The Jags did not stop there with an explosive 54 yard run by junior Jace Adler that put the Jags up 13-0. The Jaguars dominated the fourth quarter with Jace Adler prevailing in the rain. Adler had another touchdown with this one being a 9 yard receiving touchdown. The Jags put the nail in the coffin with a 44 yard rushing touchdown by Archibald putting the Jaguars up 25-0. The Bulldogs tried to get something started toward the end of the fourth quarter but it was too little too late.
The Jaguars defense showed out forcing four total turnovers. It was Jace Adler front and center with an interception and a fumble. Landon Preston joined Adler with an interception himself. Drew Wilborn added to the action with another fumble.
The Jaguars were dominant on both sides of the ball showing promise for the rest of the season. It was a lopsided victory with the ending score being 25-6. The Jaguars go on the road next facing the Goddard Eisenhower Tigers.
