Starting Of Strong
Varsity soccer is off to a great start this season having won their past two games by over 5 goals. The season started off with a home game against Classical School of Wichita, a 1A private school. The game was on Friday and kicked off the start of school sports.
“We were hype, more hype than usual. After the last seniors left, we were all wondering if this year's group would step up to lead chants and lead the student section and we actually did pretty well. The school year is off to a great start in the student section,” senior Angelica Schneider said.
The final score of the first game was 6-0.
“Honestly, we are doing very well so far. These first few games have been an amazing start for helping us achieve our goals that we have set for this season. I hope this momentum carries on for the rest of the season. Our team is playing amazing together," senior Colbin Luallen said.
The team then played against Campus on Tuesday. The final score was 7-0.
“I think that there were definitely some things we needed to work on even though we won, but considering it was our first two games of the season, I say we did pretty well,” junior Sawyer Aluise said.
We wish the soccer team the best of luck in their future endeavors and can’t wait to see what happens next!
