The Volleyball team finished the month of September with a record of 10-18 for the year. They are fourth in their region and are struggling in a tough division of regional opponents.

“The team’s start is just not how we wanted it to go, we’ve had really good moments and really bad moments, but at this point it’s all about preparing for substate,” junior Brooklyn Strobel said.

The team also honored Coach Rita Frakes, who is suffering from Breast Cancer, at a match on September 19th. The Jags won two games on the night in front of a pink out in support of Coach Frakes. After the action, the team presented Coach Frakes with money they raised for her to help cover her bills.

“That night it felt like we were playing for something bigger than volleyball, we are all really close with Coach (Frakes) and it felt really great to give back to such a great lady,” senior Taylor Wolf said.

The Jags head into October with hopes to turn around their season, and build off of their early successes.
