Jadyn Barr, senior and Jared Cromly, sophomore qualified for state. Cromly finished regionals in 4th place beating out about 60 competitors. Barr holds the title as overall regional champ going into state.
Barr averaged 216 throughout the year and finished 1st place in every meet except for one 2nd place finish. Barr’s high series was 738.
“It felt great to qualify for state. It also felt great to win regionals individually. I’m really excited for the state tournament and hope I can win that as well, that would be an amazing way to finish my high school bowling career,” Barr said.
Throughout the season, Cromly averaged 204 and stepped up his game for regioanls. He finished fourth, needing to place in the top six to qualify for state.
“I performed really well in regionals, and I am very proud of it. Before my games, I knew the oil patterns of the lanes and I used that to my advantage. My strikes were coming easier to me, because I was prepared and we prepared all year for this. I think I have a good shot to win state and I am really looking forward to it. It doesn’t seem like this year is almost over with the state competition coming up, I am really excited for next year even though we are losing one of my good friends Blake Robison,” Cromly said.
State Bowling will be held at Northrock on March 6.
