The "67" Epidemic

The term “6-7” has been floating around recently, with much confusion and concern coming from teachers, parents, and friends alike. So, what is it? The term is believed to have originated from a Skrilla song and has blown up into a larger “brainrot” term. There hasn’t been a clear definition of “6-7,” but some speculate it could mean weighing between two options. The term can be commonly found being said among middle school and high school students, but the main forms in which the term appears are Roblox and TikTok. Additionally, Clash Royale, among other games, has made references to “6-7” within its platforms. Some schools have gone so far as to ban the term “6-7,” along with other “brainrot” terms, as they have become too much of a distraction in the learning environment. Currently, the term, like other “brainrot” terms, is needlessly thrown around in and out of conversations for a good laugh or for pure annoyance.
