After an accomplished season last year of winning state, the boys swim team is back and ready to defend their title. So far this year, they have already won four out of five meets. The team has spent the last few months getting prepared for regionals.
“We’ve been working hard in practice and staying in shape. We are so pumped to be back and we have been putting in lots of time into making sure that we will have a great returning season,” said sophomore Jackson Lee.
With Covid numbers starting to spike up again, the risk of swimmers testing positive has been a great concern.
“My greatest concern right now is the risk of having my essential players that are key to being successful come down with COVID or become a close contact. Some ways I have been preparing my swimmers is by encouraging them to make good choices in and outside of school and to make sure that they are socially distant so that we can continue on with a great season,” said swim coach Ms. Craig.
