Andover Central Volleyball Substate Preveiw

Updated: Oct 24, 2023

Andover Central volleyball has been on a tear this season. The Jags are 36-1 on the season being led by seniors Hayden Snodgrass, Willow Deckinger, and junior Jordyn Washington. Deckinger is leading the team in aces and diggs while Washington is leading in hitting percentage and total blocks. Snodgrass is leading the team in kills.

“This year we really believed in out teaming everyone else, meaning we are going to work harder at being as one than anyone else and I think it shows. A 36-1 record doesn't happen by accident. We put in the effort, worked together, and that was our outcome of all the time and dedication put towards the program. Nothing we have accomplished has been because of one person. We have all equally contributed to a great season. Even those who don't get in the game as much, they bring the noise on the bench which dramatically helps players on the court '' junior Jordayn Washington said.

The Jags only loss was a tough three setter against Clearwater, but they ended up beating them in the championship match. The Jags are 9-0 in the division with a 27 game win streak. The Jags are looking to continue this streak going into sub-state as the number one seed. Sub-state starts this weekend on Saturday at 2:00 at home.
